Formulation Manager
Seeking a strong team player, Acrux is seeking a Formulation Manager who will support the company development program through effective and timely delivery of predetermined programs.
You will have responsibilities in the following areas:
- To manage and facilitate formulation development, including preclinical development, of specialty and generic pharmaceutical products in accordance with regulatory requirements for USA, European and other markets.
- Responsible for the conducting of Bioequivalence studies including IVPT and IVRT.
- To actively participate in Project Team Meetings in order to facilitate the development of products.
- Lead and manage Formulation Team.
As a true team player reporting to the Product Development and Technical Affairs Director, your role will primarily manage the company’s formulation development programs in a timely and logical manner. You will have a relevant tertiary qualification, a excellent technical and managerial background and a thorough understanding of quality systems. You will possess excellent organisational, proven people and time management skills, attention to detail and strong ability to multi-task. The key to this role will be your flexible “can do” attitude, ability to deliver programs to timelines and ability to demonstrate leadership and initiative whilst working autonomously or as part of a team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in formulation of new semisolid and topical dosage forms of pharmaceutical products including in vitro development and storing analytical skills.
You will have a proven logical approach to R&D challenges and process development methodologies, and a solid understanding of quality by design and statistics. With strong problem-solving techniques you will have extensive experience in product development in the pharmaceutical industry, ideally in generics. You will have excellent communication and presentation skills and be self-motivated with a proactive work style, and an ability to work independently and as part of a project team are key competencies.
Ideally you will also possess an understanding of intellectual property, project management and an understanding of the FDA regulations.
